Viva Mehicooooo

Its been awhile since I've posted something up on here but i guess the events that has been happening recently warrants a post.

First off, I'm still in vacation mode. I cant believe its been a week since coming back from PV mexico. I gotta say, that was one of the best trip I've had. I had more fun then I anticipated. Even though we were only there for about 4 days ( which flew by so fast), I just had a blast. Did a sailing trip and also a canopy tour, which is by far THE best excursion i've ever done.
The people there were pretty laid back and nice except for the sleezy mexicans who kept on hitting on us. OUr last night we decided to count how many would hit on us. We would walk not even a block and had like 12 guys try to pick us up...quite hilarious looking back.

PV is such a touristy place.. its so annoying to see other americans. not to mention chains like kfc, bk, mcds and dominos which btw delivers. 2 blocks from our hotel there was a walmart and sams club. I almost felt like I was back in the states. but i guess it comes in handy when you need stuff. first thing we did once we got to our hotel was hit up walmart to get stuff.
I guess some locals there are pretty well off. It seems like they have everything. AFter all the whole economy relies on tourists and caters a lot to americans and canadians. I just can't stand americans.. everywhere they go they have to act like they own the place. I was also surprised to find that mostly everyone there spoke english.
The downtown area was pretty nice. Our first day we walked the famous boardwalk called the Malecon. They have pretty cool stores and bars along the boardwalk and of course some american chains like Hooters! We ended up having dinner at a restaurant by the beach. It was pretty nice...we also got to catch the sunset. Our 2nd day we did the canopy tour. The ride up to the mountain was awesome. We rode up to the mountain in an open hummer like vehicle. There were beautiful houses and condos along the mountainside, but then as you drove in further you get to see the real locals, who live in thse shacks or huts without any roof and electricity. It was kind of depressing to see that especially since down the road theres a huge mansion or a condo. It just seems unfair, but the locals seem pretty happy. I guess they're happy with the simple life.
We did the los veranos canopy tour. the guides there were ethe best and so friendly. a couple of them were pretty cute and I normally dont dig the dark meat. The first zip line was by far the scariest because we didnt know what to expect. We had to climb this narrow spiral staircase to get to the top of the tree. after the first zip line..all the other zip lines were a pieice of cake. the highest one was about 540 ft and pretty darn long. That was the best part..zipping across valleys and rivers. I'm glad i got the video because i dont remember a single thing. it flew by way too fast.

Our 3rd day we had to go to a stupid time share presentation since it was part of our package deal. These obnoxious salesmen were trying to sell us timeshares and vacation packages..luckily i stopped roxi from buying this vacation pacakge. after the presentation was over we hit up the beach there but only stayed for half an hour. it was way too windy.
after we got back we decided to hit up the pool at our hotel. it was pretty nice.
Our last day was the sailing trip.. it was nice but way too long plus we didnt even get to go snorkeling which we thought we were since thats why we booked it in the firs tplace.
I got totally burned on my forehead and eyelids and the next day when i woke up my eye lids were swollen. wasnt too pretty.

OUr hotel was pretty nice. It had a very old spanish style look to hit. I would definitely go back to PV again. There was just something about that place that I fell in love with. I guess its the people the char of the place. But unfortunately, its getting developed pretty quickly by of course who else foreigners. i hope that place never loses its charm. I wish i can relieve every moment of that trip again.
